Height Safety Training

Rochele Painting completes hundreds of jobs a year at height and therefore it is of paramount importance we invest in height safety training and equipment. In our industry height is defined by anything 2 metres or above.
This means our painters will often be working “at height” and as a result need the correct training and equipment to keep themselves safe.In our industry height is defined by anything 2 metres or above. This means our painters will often be working “at height” and as a result need the correct training and equipment to keep themselves safe.
Our training partner and equipment supplier is Height Dynamics. The training our painters have been undertaking is Working Safely at Heights (RIIOHS204A/ CPCCCM1006A).
Height Dynamics provides a diverse range of Height Safety products and services including after sales support by the way of periodic inspection, repair, assessment and re-certification of all products and systems to ensure they comply with the current Australian Standards within the height safety industry. Through our partnership with Height Dynamics our painters have received first class height safety training, access to height equipment and ongoing support.
The Work Safely at Heights Course is a nationally accredited and recognised course. The aim of the course is to provide each painter with an understanding of legislation, Australian Standards and National Codes of Practice relating to heights and working at heights safely. Our painters are also trained in the risk assessment process specific to working at heights and the use and installation of equipment used in fall protection and height safety systems. Identification, inspection and maintenance of all associated height safety equipment are also covered. Additionally our painters cover the range of rescue equipment, emergency procedures and perform a simulated rescue of a suspended worker.
This level of height safety training enables our painters to undertake our residential painting and commercial painting projects in a controlled and safe way. Whether our painters are undertaking the interior painting of a unit complex or hotel foyer, or undertaking the exterior painting of a house or commercial building our painters have both the training and equipment to get the job done safetly.
To date 50 of our painters have received height safety training. We aim to continue height safety training of new painters and retraining current painters as the need arises. We do this to ensure that Rochele Painting not only has the skills and equipment to undertake commercial and house painting projects, but also the knowledge to undertake these projects safely.
